History tells us that during the reign of Queen Victoria, in England, which lasted from 1837 to 1901, (known as the Victorian era) the language of flowers was as important to people as style of  dress.

In medieval and Renaissance culture, flowers were often given moral meanings. The Chinese, Indians, and the Ancient Egyptians. Shakespeare even used the language of flowers in some of his plays.
